As Consultant Data & Analytics at IT-Logix AG, Eva-Maria advises companies in the areas of business intelligence and data warehousing. In her roles as developer, but also as team lead (project management), Eva-Maria helps companies to transform their data into decision-relevant information. During her Master’s degree in ‘Business Intelligence & Analytics’, she already focussed on storytelling in BI and continues to do so as a speaker on topics relating to data culture.

The Manufacturing Network Cockpit (MNC) dashboard is designed to provide a comprehensive visualization of various critical aspects within a global production network. It focuses on country risks, plant importance, and the comparative analysis of these factors to aid decision-making.

Work sample 1: Plant Risk Matrix - before The Plant Risk Matrix combines two aspects, the internal Plant Importance perspective and the external Country Risk perspective. In doing so, the matrix enables to identify and assess country-level risks for the production network. As a strategic tool, managers gain transparency of these risks and can monitor the changes in the network over the years.

Work sample 1: Plant Risk Matrix - after With the appropriate technology, it would be conceivable to extend the matrix with an additional component such as previous year values, in the form of an arrow (‘movement’ of the bubble position) or with greyed-out bubbles in the background.

Work sample 2: Country Compare - before The Country Compare page helps to compare the values of two plants. The country risk score is shown by category.

Work sample 2: Country Compare - after I'm aware that with the Radar Chart we are indeed not following the ideal example of IBCS here. The lines imply a relationship between the Categories of Country Risk that does not exist. Furthermore lines determine a gradient or area, which does not exist either. But the customer is used to this chart type and his aim is to recognise a trend suggested by the lines between the Categories. With the IBCS conform table an alternative is offered, with the additional information of comparing more than two countries as well as the delta deviation from the previous year.
