Work Samples
The following work samples demonstrate how fragmented, manually maintained reports and cluttered data, often referred to as “Excel wallpapers”, are transformed into clearly structured, IBCS-compliant dashboards. The focus is on presenting complex project metrics in a way that makes them quickly understandable and actionable for various target groups – from project managers to senior management. Efforts, deviations, billability, and risks can be visualized, enabling targeted control and informed decision-making.
The displayed content is based on fictitious data and serves to illustrate typical use cases.

Work sample 1 This work sample showcases a dashboard for project managers in BI projects, which consolidates planned and actual efforts from various data sources. The goal was to make deviations visible at an early stage and reliably evaluate the billability of the efforts. The dashboard visualizes the effort by project phases, employees, and time progression. This allows project managers to quickly identify where plans and reality diverge, and which services are not billable.

Work sample 2 This work sample demonstrates how a manually maintained, hard-to-read Excel report was transformed into a structured and visually clear analysis report tailored to the needs of management and project managers. The focus was on transforming a confusing numerical base into an interactive, IBCS-compliant dashboard. The new report layout allows for the quick identification of deviations and critical developments in the project progress – from income statements to resource utilization, cash flow, and receivables and payables. Especially for management, which previously operated "blindly," the report now provides a clear foundation for informed decision-making and initiates further detailed analyses. By automating the visualization of relevant metrics, transparency is created – leading to more efficient project management and improved communication within the company.
