Talent Bridge

Talent Bridge is an initiative aimed at connecting students, universities, and companies through thesis projects focused on IBCS.
It provides inspiration, guidance, and real-world context to help students write impactful theses based on modern standards in business communication and data visualization.

What is IBCS?

IBCS (International Business Communication Standards) is a set of guidelines for data visualization designed to standardize the way business information is presented. Its primary goal is to ensure that charts, graphs, and other visual representations are clear, consistent, and easy to understand. By following these standards, organizations can enhance communication, reduce misunderstandings, and support effective decision-making.

In today’s fast-paced digital world, where data is everywhere – from social media metrics to business analytics – the ability to quickly grasp and communicate complex information is a serious superpower. IBCS is like a universal design language that turns cluttered spreadsheets into visual stories that anyone can understand at a glance.

IBCS in action | Young Generation

IBCS Institute promotes all initiatives about shaping the future and helping young professionals succeed in their career development through the knowledge of IBCS.

In March 2025, we organized the IBCS for Young Generation experiment, where we explored how to teach the new generation about IBCS rules. Seven ambitious students from Ukraine, Vietnam, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Indonesia discovered fundamental IBCS skills that would set them apart.

The workshop opened doors to new possibilities by familiarizing students with the IBCS concept that can set them apart in their future careers. It was also an invaluable opportunity for us to receive direct feedback from young people, helping us understand their perspective on IBCS and how teaching methods could be improved for the next generation.

This exchange is particularly important because it ensures that IBCS education remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with the expectations of students entering the professional world.

This topic was continued at the IBCS Annual Conference during IBCS Talent Bridge workshop. Participants colaborated on a framework between the IBCS Institute, universities and IBCS Certified Providers – three sites supporting writing thesis on IBCS.

The workshop sparked a fruitful exchange among the certified IBCS community, generating numerous ideas and addressing key questions about expectations and best practices. Insights gained from this dialogue directly contributed to shaping the Talent Bridge project, helping to create practical pathways for students to apply IBCS in their academic and professional work.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support young people entering the workforce, we took part in Talent Days Warsaw 2025, a series of events designed to inspire and educate emerging talent.

During these events, we led a workshops titled “How Data Tells Stories in Everyday Life.” Participants explored how to turn data into a compelling narrative, seeing how charts and visualizations can gradually reveal key insights step by step. By contrasting these with visuals without storytelling, attendees could clearly see how presentation shapes the way information is understood.

This workshop was especially valuable for young professionals because it emphasized not only understanding data but also communicating it effectively – an essential skill in today’s job market. Equipping participants with these tools gave them confidence and practical insights as they step into their careers.

On October 27, 2025, Simone Verza, IBCS Certified Trainer, had the opportunity to engage with students at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa through a lecture on IBCS. The session focused on improving reporting through clear and effective data communication. Key topics included data visualization patterns, information density, and visual integrity, giving students practical insights they can apply in their future careers.
