Dear IBCS Fan,

The past few months have been incredibly exciting: from delivering an IBCS course in Australia to contributing to the development of ISO 24896 at a meeting held in Japan. Read news on our global journey.

Meeting of ISO/TC 37 | Takamatsu, Japan

ISO 24896 “Notation for business reporting” passes next stage.

Diego Berea, Jürgen Faisst, and Matthias Giger – three IBCS experts on the picture, representing Spain, Germany, and Switzerland respectively, participated in the ISO/TC 37 meeting held in Takamatsu, Japan. Together with the international experts, they successfully addressed and resolved 91 comments submitted in response to the Committee Draft of ISO 24896, including seven contributions from the IBCS Association. This collaborative achievement marks an important milestone in the standardization process.

The updated draft will be circulated for national review and comments at the beginning of August. If it receives approval from the national standardization bodies, the final release of the standard is on track for publication in 2026.

IBCS certification expands globally | Sydney, Australia

The number of professionals keen to become IBCS Certified Consultants is growing worldwide, and as a result, we’re bringing more training courses to new countries.

In June, the training made its debut in Australia, with the first-ever session held in Sydney, marking an important milestone in bringing IBCS standards to a new continent.

Trainings in different countries are a perfect opportunity for local companies to become IBCS Certified Providers and join the growing international network of experts. This time it was Bluetree, who took the first step by expressing interest in certifying their team as IBCS Consultants. Their engagement made it possible for us to bring the program to Australia.

Let us know if you’re interested in hosting a training course in your country. It’s a convenient and effective way to build local expertise and strengthen your market position.
