Publication of ISO 24896 – Notation for Business Reporting

We are happy to share an important milestone for the global IBCS community: on June 11, 2026, the International Organization for Standardization published ISO 24896:2026 – Notation for Business Reporting.

ISO 24896 is the first international standard to define consistent design requirements for the visual notation of business reports, including charts, tables, and text elements. Built on the principles of IBCS notations, it supports clearer, more consistent, and more effective business communication in reports, presentations, and dashboards.

For the IBCS community, this publication marks an important step in bringing standardized business reporting notation to a global audience. The IBCS Association welcomes this milestone and will continue to support the development, adoption, and practical application of ISO 24896 worldwide.
