IBCS Annual Conference 2026

Coming home: The origin. The accomplishment. The next chapter.

The meeting of certified IBCS professionals will take place on June 12, 2026 in Konstanz, Germany.

On the evening before the conference, we will hold the IBCS General Assembly. This year’s meeting will be particularly important, as we will elect the new governing body of the IBCS Association.

ISO 24896 to be released in May 2026

In Q4 2025, the national standardization bodies of all participating ISO member countries were invited to comment on and vote on the draft of international standard ISO/DIS 24896 “Notation for business reporting”. All members voted in favor of publishing the standard and submitted 62 comments, all of them editorial in nature. After these comments had been resolved, ISO decided to publish the standard without any further balloting.
ISO 24896 is expected to be released before the next ISO/TC 37 meeting in Strasbourg starting
on May 24, 2026.

IBCS Version 2.0

The window for commenting on the draft of IBCS Version 2.0 closed on January 31. In total, we received 372 comments. Thank you very much for such strong engagement and valuable feedback.

All comments have now been collected and are currently being reviewed by the editorial team (Cornelia Neeser, Severin Willig and Jürgen Faisst). The team is carefully working through the feedback and incorporating it into the revision of the draft.

By the end of April, the editorial team will publish a revised draft, including proposed resolutions for all submitted comments.
