LAST WEBINARS

CONSISTENT DESIGN OF TABLES

This topic was covered during four webinars (EN, DE, PL), including events of ACCA – the global body for leading finance professionals, and ICV – International Association of Controllers.

In total, IBCS guidelines for tables interested more than 2400 attendees.

NEED FOR NOTATION MANUAL

The idea to create a report notation manual and a practical cheat sheet with the most important rules has attracted the attention of about 1000 professionals.

All three webinars (EN, DE, PL) on this topic took place in September.

REPORT IT WITH CHARTS

Tips on how to properly visualize a message and to visually analyze business performance was the theme of the webinar for ACCA members in December. This year’s partnership with the ACCA Global helped introduce the IBCS concept to thousands of FP&A professionals.

IBCS ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Impressions from IBCS Annual Conference 2023

Report automation, AI and other recent developments in business reporting were discussed during our Annual Conference this year.

IBCS 2023 focused on discussions and workshops rather than frontal lectures. Jürgen Faisst started with a session on report automation, followed by Przemyslaw Biecek working out the impact of AI on the future of business reporting. Diego Berea discussed the idea of converting IBCS notation into an ISO standard and Rolf Hichert emphasised the importance of condensing information by presenting some new report templates with more than 500 data points on a single screen.

Other speeches and workshops covered advanced and special challenges like scaling when including variances into reports, market analysis visuals, and how IBCS can reach the Young Generation. Finally, a useful cheat sheet was introduced, available as a part of the new IBCS notation manual template.

At the end of the conference, with excitement the participants summarized the collection of ideas gathered during the day-long program called ‘My Christmas wish list for features in reporting software’.
